HOME / SERVICES / MOLD REMEDIATION
SVC-03 · 24/7 Emergency Response
Anyone can spray a wall. Real remediation means containment, removal, fixing the moisture source — and passing an independent clearance test, which New York law wisely requires. That's the only version we do.

Before our crew arrives
// This advice is free whether you hire us or not. That's the point.
What's included
// Performed to the IICRC S520 Standard by a NYS-licensed mold remediation contractor (NY Labor Law Article 32).
Insurance, translated
The cause of the mold decides the coverage. We help establish the sudden-event origin when it exists — documentation is everything. Every policy differs — this is orientation, not a coverage decision; your policy language and adjuster determine final coverage.
How it goes
Day 1
Moisture diagnosis, scope of contamination, and a written remediation plan (required under NY's mold law).
Days 2–4
Containment up, negative air running, contaminated materials removed and bagged, structure cleaned.
Day 5
Affected cavity dried to standard; antimicrobial applied where the S520 calls for it.
Final
A separate licensed assessor tests and certifies the space. You get the paperwork for your records and any future sale.

Common questions
It can be — especially for children, older adults, and anyone with asthma or allergies. Persistent musty odor usually means active growth. An assessment tells you what species and how far it's spread; guessing helps no one.
On porous materials like drywall and framing, bleach kills surface growth, leaves the root structure, and adds moisture — the one ingredient mold needs. It's why bleached spots come back darker.
NY Labor Law Article 32 requires mold remediation companies to be state-licensed and — this is the good part for you — requires the clearance assessment to be done by an independent licensed assessor, not the company that did the work. Built-in accountability. We're licensed and we welcome the independent check.
Not if the moisture source is fixed — that's why we diagnose and correct the water problem as part of the job. Mold without moisture is like fire without fuel.
Small single-cavity jobs often run in the low thousands; whole-basement contamination costs more. We give you a written scope with real numbers after assessment — and if insurance applies, we scope to the policy so covered dollars go as far as possible.
