Insurance, translated
Coastal claims live or die on the wind-versus-flood distinction. We photograph and map damage to the correct policy from hour one. Every policy differs — this is orientation, not a coverage decision; your policy language and adjuster determine final coverage.
How it goes
Same day
Openings protected before the next band of weather arrives. Same-day, storm-season or not.
Hours 1–24
Water out, drying plan in, contents protected or packed out.
Week 1
Full envelope documentation, Xactimate scope, adjuster walk-through — wind and flood mapped separately.
Weeks 2+
Roof to interior finishes, restored by one company under one claim.

What homeowners say
Common questions
Your homeowners policy generally covers damage to your structure plus removal of the tree from the structure — regardless of whose yard it grew in. We coordinate safe removal and document everything before cleanup erases the evidence.
Wind (and rain entering wind-created openings) is homeowners. Rising water — surge, overflowing bays, street flooding — is flood insurance (NFIP or private). Coastal Long Island claims often involve both, and carriers push damage toward whichever policy pays less. Our job is documenting which damage belongs where.
Same day in almost all cases, including during active storm recovery — we stage crews and materials ahead of named storms and nor'easters.
Be careful. Storm chasers follow weather events, collect assignments of benefits, and disappear. Use a local company with a Long Island address, local references, and a license you can verify — whoever you choose.
If water rose from outside (surge, groundwater, street flooding), that's flood insurance. If wind breached the structure and rain came in, homeowners applies. If a sump pump failed, coverage depends on a water backup rider. Describe it to us — we'll tell you where it lands.
